The next Ghostbusters film will debut on December 20, 2023, Sony Pictures has confirmed. As a result of the recent success of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the studio revealed its next release plan and confirmed that a new Ghostbusters film would enter cinemas next year. Reitman and Gil Kenan have revealed that the sequel would take place in New York City, the city where the first film was shot. Egon Spengler’s descendants are the focus of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which will be published in 2021. The action, on the other hand, takes place on a farm in Oklahoma, a far distance from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan.
Carrie Coon portrays Callie Spengler, the mother of Trevor and Phoebe Spengler, played by Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace. Gary Grooberson, a seismologist and science instructor, is also played by Paul Rudd.
Jason Reitman, the film’s director, is the son of the original Ghostbusters filmmaker, Ivan Reitman, who also directed the film.
