On Wednesday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State offered N500 million compensation to standard Nollywood actor, Babatunde Omidina, often known as Baba Suwe, and different Ikorodu residents whose properties had been demolished to pave means for the continuing Igbogbo-Igbe Road Expansion Project.

The cheques had been offered to the affected events on the official commissioning of the newly upgraded Ijede Road.

Baba Suwe received the sum of  N3.1 million as compensation for his demolished property whereas Malok Petrol Station received N100 million, Stir Oil and Gas Petrol received N36 million, Igbe Central Mosque Degolu Junction received N8million.

Sanwo-Olu offered the cheques to these affected on the official unveiling of the newly upgraded Ijede Road.

Sanwo-Olu, whereas talking on the commissioning of the street mentioned it was a promise fulfilled. He famous that his administration had delivered yet one more street that might make life extra comfy and significant for residents. 

He mentioned, “In December 2019, we had been right here to flag-off the in depth rehabilitation works on Ijede Road. On that event, I made a promise that the contractor would instantly transfer to the location and that the venture could be delivered in 18 months.
