Abdulrasheed Bello, best known by his stage as JJC Skillz, has revealed that he is no longer married to Funke Akindele, who was an actress in Nollywood.
Thursday was the day he broke the news using the official account he maintains on Instagram.
He wrote; “Dear friends and family, I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted, we shared a lot of things together and have created two beautiful children.
“The last two years have been extremely difficult for us. I know that I Have tried my best to fix things, but I believe it is beyond repair now. Three months ago, and at Funke’s insistence, I moved out of the house, and apart from AMVCA, I have not been able to get Funke to sit down in an amicable manner to discuss the future of our relationship.
“I’m making this announcement so that the public is clear that we both are pursuing separate lives. We still have issues that need to be addressed such as custody and well-being of our children which is paramount as well as business interests that need to be entangled but I have no doubt that these will be resolved one way or another – Mr. Abdul Bello.
Before he got married to Akindele, Bello was already a father to three children from three different women. All of his children were born before he met Akindele.
Bello and Funke Akindele were married in 2016. In December 2018, they became parents to a pair of twins.
Funke also entered into a marriage with the businessman Adeola Kehinde Oloyede, but it did not last long.
The contract for the wedding was signed on May 26, 2012. In July of 2013, the couple filed for divorce, claiming their inability to resolve their disagreements.
In May 2016, Funke tied the knot with Nigerian rapper JJC Skillz in London, three years after their first meeting.
